Marian L. Kerr Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 2, 2025, at the age of 95, Marian L. Kerr of Hastings, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fern Schmidt and Albert Schmidt of Shelton; and her siblings, Delores Yocum, Judy Resh and Dale Schmidt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ruth Mytty (Alan) of Champaign, IL and Mary Langvardt (Arlen) of Bloomington, IN; her grandchildren, Jamon Mytty (Stacy) of Wilmette, IL, Allison Ponce (Alex) of Leon, Erin Murray (John) of Indianapolis, IN, Sarah Mendenhall (Cole) of Phoenix, AZ, Kyle Langvardt (Emmalyn Helge) of Lincoln, NE and Tara Linkner (Ethan) of Ann Arbor, MI; and her great grandchildren, Simon, Stella, Sawyer, Sadie Mytty, Sofia, Tomás Ponce of Leon, Penelope, Teddy Murray, Gigi, Ty Mendenhall, Owen Langvardt, Annie and Jay Linkner. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Marian's family requests that in lieu of flowers, interested persons might consider donating to the Hastings YMCA (where Marian took part in a water exercise class well into her 90s) or the Hastings YWCA (whose programs she enjoyed over the years). Other donations to the Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation would be appropriate memorials for Marian, given her longstanding service at Mary Lanning.
