He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Andersen and Evelyn Andersen (Gerloff); his daughter Cyndi Kyle; and his siblings, Melva Stillson, Novella Brooks, Rosella Mays, Melvin and Edwin Andersen.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Andersen; his son Nels David (Christy Andersen); his grandchildren, Matthew Andersen (Shannon), Angela Meitl (Ben), Carissa Leonard, Ashley Ray (Curtis), Brandon Garcia (Tisha) and Jenna Brown (Zachary); and his great grandchildren, Zoiee, Payzlee, Hoyt, Bowyn Andersen, Andrew, Carsen, Ava, Alivia, Rowen Meitl, Taylor, Ashton, Jace Leonard Madalyn, Braycen Andersen, Cooper Shaw, Liam Ray, Brynlee Smith, Alana, Gannon, Novalee Garcia, Natalie and Hailey Brown.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Hope Baptist Church (1204 W 5th St, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials may be given to the church.
