Robert D. Barfknecht Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert D. Barfknecht (Hastings, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 17, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William A. Barfknecht and Ethel N. Barfknecht (Morrow); his wife Ruth (Leonhardt); his daughter Sue Louise; and his sister Ruth Boydston.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the New York Avenue Congregational Church.
