He is survived by: his wife Colleen Kober (Witt); his children, Sandy Dirks (Dave), Lori Hurst (David), Rob Kober, Jean Kober and Becky Trausch (Roger); and his sisters, Jan Vap and Mary Catherine Kober. He is also survived by Grandchildren: 9 Great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Butler Volland Funeral Home (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A rosary was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Butler Volland Chapel (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (721 Creighton Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
Memorials may be given to the family to be established at a later date.
