He was predeceased by: his parents, Minie Classen and Frieda Classen (Johnson); his wife Barbara Classen (Motley); his daughter Linda Pierce; and his brother Kenneth Classen.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Classen (Joyce) and Robyn Sites (Tracy); his stepchildren, Deborah "Debbie" Baker (Brian Johnson) and Michael Evans (Carol); his grandchildren, Denise Sites, Nicki Baldwin (Zane), Melissa Classen (Amanda), Trevor Pierce and Haley Pierce; his stepgrandchildren, Corey Baker (Tiffany), Amanda Baker, Phil Evans (Kala) and Kali Johnson; his great grandchildren, Olivia Sandoz, Madyson Sandoz and Ryker Baldwin; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Riley Evans, Mathew Evans, Andrew Baker, Hayslee Baker and Angel Mills.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center (1225 N Elm Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to the Disabled American Veterans or Eagles Club.
