She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Jones and Eloise Jones (Kerr); her husband Darrel "Buster" Smith; her sister Sharon Dreher; and her siblings-in-law, Alvin Wenske, Ken Dreher, Len Jungels and Mary Ellen.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Smith (Brenda), Cindy Sadd (Keith), Dan (Joan) and Tim Smith (Candi); her grandchildren, Jennifer Bregenzer (Justin), Darren Smith (Sarah), Melissa Buss, Kimberly Buss, Morgan Tempelmeyer (Ian), Logan Smith and Hannah Smith; and her great grandchildren, Sophia Smith, Gavin Smith, Aiden Smith, Maddox Smith, Preston Buss, Carson Buss, Amaya Buss, Theron Bregenzer and Leona Bregenzer.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (505 N Bellevue Ave, Hastings, NE 68901). A burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (1247 N Burlington Ave, Hastings, NE 68901).
