She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh Smith and Artie Smith (Anderson). She is survived by : her husband Clinton Calkins of Hastings; her children, Paul Calkins (Lourella) of Wichita, KS, Marla Biggs (Bill) of Hastings, NE and Janna Johnson (Chris) of Hastings, NE; her grandchildren, Nick Johnson (Kaleigh) of Kearney, NE, Kathryn Olson (Nathan) of Hastings, NE and Sam Johnson (Becca) of Hastings, NE; her great grandchildren, Carter, Hudson, Ryleigh, Madelyn, Connor, Scotlyn, Natalie and Carson; and her brother Wilson Smith (Martha) of Denver, CO.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church (1832 W 9th St, Hastings, NE 68901).
