She was predeceased by : her parents, Guy F. West and Florence H. West (Long); her husband Richard; her grandson Kyle May; her siblings, Melba Richter (Warren), Rawleyce Rife (Danny), Arwyn West and Ron West (Julie); and her brother-in-law Bob Dahnke.

She is survived by : her child Lois; her wife Lois; her sons, Kent (Cheryl May), Kim (Gail May), Omaha, Ricky (Lana May), Rocky (Mary May) and North Platte; her sister Mary Ellen Dahnke of Stratton; her sister-in-law Lois West of Stratton; her grandchildren, Brent May (Kimmie), Todd May, Angie Seip (Chris), Brandon May (Eva), Nolan May (Erin), Rhea Softley (Craig) and Kristin Hubby (Jeff); and also Melba (Warren Richter). She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Lois's name to the Hayes Center Senior Center or Union Congregational United Church of Christ.
