He is survived by: his stepchildren, Mylan Gehle (Becky) of Republic, KS and Michael Gehle (Tammy) of Hardy, NE; his daughter Misty Gehle (Paul Fechtmeister); his daughter-in-law Rita Gehle; his grandchildren, Amanda Gehle of New York, NY, Brandon Gehle (Tonya) of Burwell, NE, Heather Gehle of Deshler, NE, Seth Gehle of Hardy and Christian Lambert of Belleville, KS; his great grandchildren, Kailyn, Kinslie, Caleb, Olive Gehle and Tatiana Cruz; his grandchildren, Blakeleigh, Violet Gehle, Khloe and Kegan Keeling (Lambert); and his brothers, Bill Braithwait (Rachel) of Columbus, NE and Bob Braithwait (Margie) of North Platte, NE.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Kroll-Massey Funeral Home - Hebron (330 N 5th St, Hebron, NE 68370). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (420 Charles Rd, Hebron, NE 68370).
