He was predeceased by : his parents, William Schoof and Dena Schoof (Elting); his wife Vickie; his siblings, Arlene, Leona, Evelyn and Clarence (Sharon); and also Leroy Cottam.

He is survived by : his son David (Heather Harcrow) of York; his nephew Jim; his sister Delores Cottam; his nephews, Cory and Joe; his sister-in-law Kelly Allen (Alexander); and his niece Selena of Citrus Heights. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Memorials are to be directed to the First Community Church. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests plants.
