He is survived by: his son Eric James Mathiesen (Kristy Mathiesen); his grandchildren, Paige (Josh Yoachim), Hunter Robert Mathiesen of Hebron and Brianna; and his brothers, Roger (Beverly Mathiesen) of Kearney and Floyd Mathiesen of Beatrice.
