She was predeceased by: her mother Wilma Beulah Nyquist (Dye); her husband Jerry; her father Aron Nyquist; her son Leslie Walters (Les); and her brother Carl Nyquist.
She is survived by: her daughter Lenni; her son-in-law Tim Johnson of Hemingford; her grandchildren, Tanya Walters of Sioux City, Alisa Jones (Chad) of Sioux City, Travis Walters of Sioux City, Sara Peneton (Joe) of Arvada, Brook and Brian Johnson of Hemingford; her sister-in-law Karol Nyquist of Scottsbluff; her niece Shelley Sorensen (Mike Manheim); her nephew Jeff Nyquist of Lincoln; and her great grandchildren, Alexandra, Samantha Allen, Effie Bentancourt, Tasha Franco, Alanna, Conner, Logan Walters, Grand, Harlo and Flora Johnson. She is also survived by the seven great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hemingford Cemetery (900 Co Rd 69, Hemingford, NE 69348).
Memorials may be made in Florence's honor to Hemingford Preschool, St. John's Preschool or the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Department.
