It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Kriz of Hemingford, Nebraska, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Kriz and Barbara Kriz (Thornton); and his granddaughter Maddie Dee Nunez. He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Kayla Marie Behm (Mark) of Lincoln Nebraska, Emily Jensen (Michael) of Council Bluffs and Daniel Kriz of Omaha, Nebraska.; his stepdaughter Danielle McClure (Steven Zaremba) of Oak Harbor; his grandsons, Gary and Logan; and his siblings, Cindy Davies of Hemingford, Kathy McGowan (Jeff) of Hot Springs and Timothy Kriz (Laurel) of Hemingford Nebraska. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at the Hemingford American Legion (713 Box Butte Ave, Hemingford, NE 69348).
