We announce the death of Elva May (Siebert) Janzen of Henderson, Nebraska, who passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 97. Elva will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Siebert (Epp) and Chris C. Siebert; her husband Walter; her son Gary; her brother Raymond; her sister-in-law Mabel Siebert; and her sister Gladys Siebert.
She is survived by: her children, Royce Janzen (Carol) of Henderson and Rebecca Dolezal (David) of Lincoln; her daughter-in-law Pam Janzen (late Gary) of Henderson; and her grandchildren, Jay Dee (Wendy Janzen), Brad (Kara Janzen), Scott (Christa Janzen), Kevin Janzen of Henderson, Kyle (Talia Janzen), Carissa (Brad Neifeldt) and Carlee (Dee Humm).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Metz Mortuary. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the Friesen Cemetery. A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Bethesda Mennonite Church (930 16th St, Henderson, NE 68371).
