He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Friesen and Tena Friesen (Mierau); his parents-in-law, Chris and Mildred Koop; his sister Glendora; his brother-in-law Marvin D. Peters; and his daughter-in-law Joyce Shockley Friesen.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Friesen of Henderson; his sons, Shawn Friesen of Mainland and Travis Friesen (Dani) of Beatrice, NE; and his grandchildren, Hunter and Harper Friesen of Beatrice.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials may be directed to the Henderson Heritage Museum or the Mennonite Disaster Service Cabinet Shop in Goessell, KS.
