He was predeceased by: his father Mark McKercher Lector (Sam Minarik Processional Hymn). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Liz" Tyson; his grandchildren, Teagan, Thea, Bryleigh, Isla, Brantlee, Nina, Emerlee, Veya and Haisley; his mother Nancy Tyson; and his children, Mark McKercher, Lector, Teresa Mencke, Sam Minarik, Song of Farewell, Responsorial Psalm, John and May.
Memorials are suggested to the Herman Volunteer Fire Department, an organization that remained close to John's heart throughout his life.
