He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Ward and Mary Angelina Ward (Busco); his siblings, Larry Ward and Kathy Jacobsen; his daughter Teresa Fous; and his great grandchild Hunter Withrow.

He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Geist (Jacob) of Kearney, Nebraska, Shanon Frazier (Larry) of Lexington, Nebraska and James Ward (Stephanie) of Hershey, Nebraska.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
