She was predeceased by: her parents, Kent Bennett and Jeannette Bennett (Larington); her husband Bob Peterson; her stepgreat-grandson Kade Richards; her mother-in-law Dorothy Peterson (Duane); her daughter-in-law Tina Peterson; her father-in-law Dale Nelson; and her uncles, Gordon Bennett and Jerry Bennett.

She is survived by: her husband Mark Nelson of Holdrege; her sons, Jeremy Hueftle (Larissa) of Holdrege and Brett Peterson of Holdrege; her stepson Ethan Nelson of Sumner, Nebraska; her granddaughter Haylee Williamson (Shane) of Holdrege; her stepgrandchildren, Kassidy Pinkal (Heidi Buettner) of Holdrege, Dee Pinkal (Andrew Richards) of Lincoln, Nebraska, Austin, Elise and Ellison Billeter; her stepgreat-grandson Kooper Pinkal; her brother Warren Bennett of Lincoln, Nebraska; her close friend Jeanne Bennett of Holdrege; and her sister-in-law Cindy Lambert (Keith) of Sundance, Wyoming. She is also survived by six nieces, and seven nephews.
