Dee Swanson Obituary
We announce the death of Dee Swanson of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 88. Dee will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Arthur "Art" Swanson and Helen Swanson (Davis); his wife Marilyn Swanson; his brother James Arthur Swanson; his parents-in-law, Ellsworth and Marie Johnson (Lonn); and his brothers-in-law, Bruce Johnson (Irene) and Ronny Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Beaman (Doug) of Grand Island, Nebraska and Mark Swanson (Teresa) of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren, Craig Beaman (Emily) of Kearney, Nebraska, Cassie Swanson of Kansas City, Missouri, Kyle Beaman of Grand Island, Nebraska and Connor Swanson (Taylor) of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Max and Charlie Beaman; his sister Patricia DeCamp of Hudson, Ohio; and his sister-in-law Beverly Swanson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Book Signing will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A memorial has been established in Dee's honor and kindly suggested to the First Presbyterian Church of Holdrege.
