He was predeceased by: his parents, John Theodore and Hazel Belle Ecklun (Bliss); his in-laws, Charles and Elsie Verbeck (Erickson); his sister Margie Erickson (Chester); his nephew Harry; and his siblings-in-law, Daniel Verbeck and Lillian Pelowski.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Verbeck of Holdrege; his children, Patti Moderow (Roger) of Oakland, Nebraska and Mike Ecklun (Nancy) of Holdrege; his grandchildren, Chris Ecklun (Lindsay) of Holdrege, Matt Ecklun (Bre) of Holdrege, Becky Moderow of Liberty, Missouri and Libby Moderow of Lincoln, Nebraska; his great grandchildren, Isaac, Sam Ecklun, Luke, Carli, Liam Ecklun and Nikki Holley; and his siblings-in-law, Margery Verbeck of Holdrege and Don Pelowski of Holdrege. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
