He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Hunt and Joan Hunt (Ellison); his brothers, Danny Hunt and Keith Hunt; his parents-in-law, LaVern and Charlotte Ortgiesen (Johnson); and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Ortgiesen (Harms) and Robert Alderman.
He is survived by: his wife Gayla Hunt of Holdrege; his children, Corina Wohlers (Curt) of Dublin, Ohio and McLain Hunt (Michelle) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Hunt, Kaleb Hunt, Owen Wohlers and Lucy Wohlers; his sister Jonell Mueller (Brad, family: Patricia Hunt) of Funk, Nebraska; and his siblings-in-law, Mona Garrelts (Delmar) of Grand Island, Nebraska, JoAnn Alderman of Miami, Florida and Eugene "Butch" Ortgiesen of Kearney, Nebraska. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial book signing will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, with the family greeting from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
A memorial has been established in Eugene's honor, and kindly suggested to the American Heart Association.
