He is survived by: his children, Frank Tanner, III of Phoenix, Arizona, Richard Tanner (Heidi) of Goodyear, Arizona and Shelby Wagner (John) of Holdrege; his grandchild Lacey Tanner of Phoenix; his children, Rebecca Scott (Seth) of Goodyear, Cody Murawski of Alexandria, Virginia, Johnathan Wagner Jr. of Kearney, Nebraska and Nicole Blue (Richard) of Adams, Nebraska; and his brothers, Dale Tanner (Angele) and Paul Tanner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
