It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leonard of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Leonard and Gladys Leonard (Smith); his siblings, Paul Leonard, Dan Leonard and Lillian Whipple (Irvin); his in-laws, Joe and Lela Halouska; and his grandson-in-law Bill Stepanek.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Halouska of Holdrege; his children, Jim Leonard (Marcia) of Kearney, Cheryl Klausen (Bob) of Rockville and Vicky Zabka (Brian) of Grand Island; and his sisters-in-law, Verna Leonard and Glenda Leonard. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow.
