The passing of Joan Horn of Holdrege, Nebraska leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 90. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Art Verbeck and Nina Verbeck (Giles); her husband Eugene of Holdrege; and her siblings, LeWarren Verbeck, Robert Verbeck, Bill Verbeck, Dean Verbeck, Don Verbeck, Edith Owen, Anne Verbeck, Dorothy Cain, Betty Coburn and Ardith Bendler.
She is survived by: her sons, Tom Horn (Dawn) of Avon, Steve Horn (Brenda) of Doniphan and Mike Horn (Laurie) of Holdrege; her grandchildren, Jeanette Young (Randy) of Holdrege, Brandi Horn (Cory), Ryan Horn (AbbyGail), Levi Horn (Sara), Lexi Horn (David), Jayna Butler (Beau), Jared Horn, Tyson Horn (Kylie), Tanner Horn (Tara), Brandon Horn (Kate), Breann Hershberger (Dustin), Amanda Gonzalez Miranda (Cristian), Anthony Young (Erica) and Julia Peterson (Preston); and her sister-in-law Phyllis Verbeck. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church (613 18th Ave, Holdrege, NE 68949).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
