Leona M. Jacobsen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona M. Jacobsen of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jens Christian and Bertha J. G. Hansen (Quadhammer); her children, Gordon and Betty Jacobsen; her granddaughter Tracy Jacobsen; her siblings, Inward Hansen (Mary), Dorothy Johnson (Grant), Marvin Hansen (Marian), Henry Hansen, Viola Spors (Faye), Edna Anderson (Leroy), Lily Ann Berlie, Minnie Hendrickson (Charles) and Raymond Hansen; and her brothers-in-law, Maynard Johnson and Don Jensen.
She is survived by: her children, Carl "Jake" Jacobsen (Peggy) of Holdrege, Charlotte Lahndorf (Howard "Lucky") of Lincoln, Nebraska and Robert Jacobsen (Barb) of Gibbon, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Christie Couvillion (Claude), Brenda Smith (Nicholas), Angie Minks (Mark), Adam Howard (Lanea), Megan Aue and Rhianna Jacobsen; her siblings, Gladys Johnson of Holdrege, Mary Jane Jensen of Aurora, Nebraska, Carol Jean Abramson of Kearney, Nebraska, Elizabeth Johson (Gary) of Stapleton, Nebraska, Rose Gillespie (Don) of Globe, Arizona, Stanley Hansen (Sylvia) of Minden, Nebraska and Harold Hansen (Rhonda) of Wood River, Nebraska; and her brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Berlie of Holdrege. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church (1419 East Ave, Holdrege, NE 68949). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Minden Cemetery (801 W 1st St, Minden, NE 68959).
