She was predeceased by : her husband Besides; her siblings, Dorothy Jean Mattson, Gloria Ekberg and Roger Mattson; her nephew Don Ekberg Jr.; her son-in-law Daniel Johnson; and her siblings-in-law, Terry Christensen, Donald Young (Dorothy) and Joann.

She is survived by : her sister Julia E. Mattson (Anderson); her children, Cynthia Lou, Nancy Renee (Roger) of Holdrege, Randall Scott, Cindy Johnson of Salina, Kansas and Randy Young (Jeanette) of Holdrege; her granddaughter Christine Johnson; her children, Chad Johnson (Amber), Cathy Hill, Jamie Carlson (Kevin), Tim Hoeck, Amanda Gonzalez-Miranda (Cristian), Anthony Young (Erica) and Julia Peterson (Preston); her great grandchildren, Marshall and Kamdyn Johnson; her grandchildren, Mason, Keelie Hill, Cooper, Colby and Canon Carlson; her sister Audrey Christensen; and her siblings-in-law, Virginia Mattson and Don Ekberg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial has been established in Marilyn's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
