He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Dale Davies and Darlene Davies (Hansen); his sister Kay Pinkley (Davies); his brother-in-law Ron Joy; and his in-laws, Dale and Elise Joy.
He is survived by: his daughter Candy Michelle Bussinger (Davies) of Holdrege; his wife Mardy Davies of Holdrege; his grandson Dr. Brenton Mark Bussinger (Samantha) of Omaha; his sisters-in-law, Cheryl Joy of Holdrege and Debra Van Gundy (Henry) of Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Jeremy Klein (Kim) of Holdrege, Dennis Joy of Arkansas, Cherie Gregory (Drew) of Nixa and Mandi Klein of Rushville. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family, and friends.
