It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha A. Tweedy of Holdrege, Nebraska, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on July 1, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Jack W. Boyd of Riverton; her parents, Madison Ballantyne and Sarah Ballantyne; and her sister Jean Weber. She is survived by : her siblings, Madison and Sarah Ballantyne (Boulden); her children, Deborah Ann and Kevin Madison (Mariann) of Gothenburg, Nebraska; her stepdaughter Tammy; her husband Roger Tweedy of Holdrege; her daughter Deb Erickson (Frank) of Holdrege; her stepchildren, Tamra Slater (Bill) of Doniphan, Nebraska, Sandy Artz (Jeff) of Alma, Nebraska and Patsy Thorell (Brian) of Hays, Kansas; her grandson Lance Erickson (Brianne); her stepchildren, Peter Erickson (Stephanie), Stephanie Erickson, Gretchen Philpot (Matt), Molly Boyd and Aaron Boyd; her stepgrandchildren, Zach Artz (Sarah), Alex Artz (Jess), Abby Artz, Jake Thorell (Sidney) and Peyton Thorell; her great grandchild Jack Philpot; and her stepgrandchildren, Gwen Philpot, Barrett Erickson, Ellia Erickson, Esme'Erickson, Aiden Erickson, Henry Artz and Luca Longacre. She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Martha's honor, and kindly suggested to the Nebraska Prairie Museum or to the Tassel in Holdrege.
