With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvel Nelson of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away on May 10, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold P. Johnson and Dorothy I. Johnson (Regelin); her sisters, Marlys Harris (James) and Karen Larson; and her brother-in-law Johnny Nelson.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon James Nelson of Christian Homes; her children, Sherri Lindstrom of Holdrege, Heidi Amelang (Ed) of Holdrege, Nebraska and Chris Nelson of Holdrege, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Tyler Lindstrom (Ashley) of Holdrege, A. J. Lindstrom (Jenna) of Loomis, Parker Lindstrom (Jordan Colling) of Holdrege, Chloe Dorenkamp (Isaac) of Omaha, Nebraska, Chelsea Amelang of Holdrege and Bennett Nelson of Holdrege; her great grandchildren, Brigham, Beau, Oliver and Andi Jean; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Clinch (John) of Grand Island, Nebraska, Julie Nelson (James) of Loomis, Evie Nelson of Holdrege and Wesley Nelson (Connie) of Holdrege. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family.
