He was predeceased by : his siblings, Marilyn Anderson (Bob), Carol Young (Bob), Eldon Jones, Richard Jones and Lloyd James "Jimmy" Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Maaske, Linda Maaske, Grace Maaske, Delmer Maaske (Alice), Eldred Maaske and Darrel Maaske.
He is survived by : his children, Fred O. and Kathryn Jones (Smith); his wife Mildred "Millie" Maaske of Holdrege; his sons, Mitchell, Mitch Jones (Jenni) of Holdrege and Monte Jones (Brenda) of Columbus, Nebraska; his grandson Eric Jones (Kelly) of Castle Rock, Colorado; his great grandchildren, Calvin, Piper, Colin Jones and Baylor Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Bernard "Ben" Maaske (Ruth) of Lincoln, Roland "Ron" Maaske (Lyn) of Lincoln, Wayne Maaske of Bertrand, Margaret High (Dave) of Holdrege, Darlene Samuelson (Alan) of Bertrand and Janice York Maaske (Broeker) of Kearney, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and many friends.
A memorial has been established in Merwyn's honor and kindly suggested to the Phelps County Food Pantry.
