It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard L. Dodson of Holdrege, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 74, on December 10, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Dodson and Etta Dodson (Warner); his siblings, Gladys Faye, Twyla Dahlgren (Orville), Betty Steinkruger (Leland) and Raymond Dodson; his sisters-in-law, Ruth and Evelyn; his brothers, Duane "Zeke" Dodson (Evelyn), Allen Dodson (Delores), Glen Dodson, Bill Dodson (Gerry), Ralph Dodson (Betty) and Jack Dodson; and his brother-in-law Stan Murphy.
He is survived by: his wife Barb Dodson of Holdrege; his children, Matt Dodson of Holdrege, Nikki Dornhoff (Malcom) of Heartwell, Nebraska and Justin Dodson (Brianna Hinson) of Oxford; his granddaughters, Makenna, Marah Dornhoff and Taelyn Pritchard; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Ann Dodson of Emmett, Idaho and Steve Murphy (Kelly) of Wray, Colorado. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home (401 Burlington St, Holdrege, NE 68949). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Loomis Evangelical Free Church (102 Saxon St, Loomis, NE 68958).
A memorial has been established in Dick's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for future designation.
