He is survived by: his wife Mary Hammond of Holdrege; his daughter Jennifer Hammond of Holdrege; his grandson Dylan Hulshizer (Dallis Hulshizer); his pet Arthas; his sisters, Illa Remmels (Eugene) of Colorado and Sharon Cover of Ohio; and his close friend Valerie D'amato of Holdrege.
A memorial has been established in Sidney's honor and kindly suggested to First Presbyterian Church in Holdrege or a local veteran's association.
