He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry N. and Irene M. (Heitz); his parents-in-law, William (Bill) and Lola Denison; his nephew Jason Dreith; and his brother-in-law Larry Hernandez.

He is survived by : his son Joseph; his wife Joyce; his children, Brenda Gale (Chris) of Neligh, Joe (April) of Oakland and Brad (Shannon) of Arlington; his grandchildren, Collin, Bria and Carissa Gale; his sons, Alex, Chance, Marcus, William Foust, Isaac, Kaden and Karson Bud Foust; his siblings, Mary Hernandez of Lincoln, Anne Vaught (Robert) of Duncan, John Foust (Karla) of Fremont and Marvin Foust of Fremont; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Karlin (Tom) of Beatrice, Bob Denison (Donna) of Fremont and Dan Denison (Terri) of Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Arlo Strive at Arlington High School, Logan View Public Schools Shop Program or Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper.
