We bid farewell to LeRoy A. Kriete of Hooper, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 4, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kriete and Selma Kriete (Krohn); his in-laws, Gerald and Rebecca Bain; his stepfather Howard Kuss; his brothers-in-law, Ken Thernes and Bob Bain; and his stepbrother Ron Kuss.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bain of Hooper; his children, Larry Kriete (Julie) of Herman and Heidi Kirk (Chris) of Roanoke, VA.; his grandchildren, Nathan Kriete, Alexis Goodrich, Josh Kriete, Ella Kirk, Jamie Schkade and Molly Schkade; his great grandchild Wade Goodrich; his siblings, Bernice Thernes of Fremont, John Kriete (Donna) of Hooper and Paul Kriete (Cory) of Hooper; his stepsister Loretta Legband (Darrell) of Arizona; and his Step-Sister-in-Law Vera Kuss of Omaha, Many. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel (108 E Elk St, Hooper, NE 68031). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (27052 County Rd 12, Hooper, NE 68031).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Hour and Mission Central.
