He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kriete and Selma Kriete (Krohn); his in-laws, Gerald and Rebecca Bain; his stepfather Howard Kuss; his brothers-in-law, Ken Thernes and Bob Bain; and his stepbrother Ron Kuss.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Bain of Hooper; his children, Larry Kriete (Julie) of Herman and Heidi Kirk (Chris) of Roanoke, VA.; his grandchildren, Nathan Kriete, Alexis Goodrich, Josh Kriete, Ella Kirk, Jamie Schkade and Molly Schkade; his great grandchild Wade Goodrich; his siblings, Bernice Thernes of Fremont, John Kriete (Donna) of Hooper and Paul Kriete (Cory) of Hooper; his stepsister Loretta Legband (Darrell) of Arizona; and his Step-Sister-in-Law Vera Kuss of Omaha, Many. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Lutheran Hour and Mission Central.
