He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vogel and Anna Vogel (Kampschneider); his siblings, Wilbert (Veronica Vogel), Irvin Vogel, Lorene (Nick Steffensmeier) and Odelia (Donald Peatrowsky); his in-laws, Bernard Franzluebbers, Ray Tworek, Donald, Margaret Palensky, Edwin Palensky, Lucille, Larry Behrens and Allan Chudomelka; and his nephews, Dale Vogel, Bernard Steffensmeier and Melvin Franzluebbers.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Vogel of Howells, NE; his sons, Anthony (Becky Vogel), Ben Wragge (Nina Vogel), Thomas (Renae Vogel), Jacob and Shaila Vogel; his grandchildren, Baylen, Bria, Benny, Elisia and Adam Burenheide; his children, Benjamin, Henry and Alexandria; his granddaughter Jeannette; his children, Brian Rolf of West Point, NE, Matthew Rolf, Angela Rolf and James Rolf; his sisters, Lillian Franzluebbers of West Point, NE and Mary Ann Tworek of Columbus; his sisters-in-law, Elaine Palensky of Omaha, NE and Marcella Chudomelka of Fremont, NE; and his nephew Clarence.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Olean (2457 Co Rd 17, Dodge, NE 68633). A vigil service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 9:30 AM and at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
