It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Overfield of Humboldt, Nebraska, born in Falls City, Nebraska, who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Albert and Louella Maud Mullins (Arnold); her husband Don Overfield; her daughters, Donna Winker (Overfield) and Deane "DeeDee" Overfield; her great grandchild Devon Hunzeker; her siblings, Mildred Louise, Donna Jean, Marjorie "Darlene", Willard Eugene, Mark Duane and Richard "Dick" Keith Mullins; and her son-in-law Bruce Winker.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie James (Danny) of Humboldt, Dan Overfield (Cindy) of Auburn and Darcy Weldon of Lincoln. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
