He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bender and Georgia Ann Bender (Dusel). He is survived by: his grandchildren, Miranda and Steven; his wife Geralyn Bender (Wemhoff); his daughter Miranda (Steven Svitak); his grandchildren, Barrett, Dakota, Benelli, Riggins, Sienna, Kalani and Hendrix; his daughter Kendra (Trevor Knopik); his grandchild Meeka; his siblings, Denise Hofeling of Roanoke, TX, Darrell Bender (Karen) of Elkhorn, Scott Bender (Becky) of Humphrey, Craig Bender (Jessica) of Columbus, Kevin Bender (Linda) of Humphrey and Leon Bender (Barb) of Humphrey; Barrett, Dakota, Benelli, Riggins, Sienna, Kalani, Hendrix, Kendra, Trevor and Meeka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Catholic Church (203 S 5th St, Humphrey, NE 68642). A rosary was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Randy's name to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church of Humphrey as well as the Special Olympics Nebraska-Clarkson Delegation.
