We announce the death of Richard Haag of Indianola, Nebraska, who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 75. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Haag and Evelyn Haag of Danbury; his children, Justin Haag (Cricket) of Chadron and Melissa Stewart (Jason) of Lexington; his former wife Deanna McChesney; his sons, Aaron Haag (Ellie) of Lincoln and Mark Haag (Lauren) of Scottsbluff; and his stepchildren, Jeremy Latimer (Kristy) of McCook and Jen Perry (James) of Azle, Texas..
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his siblings, Bob Haag (Kathy) of Indianola, Dianne Jones (Dean) of Kearney, Darla Jordan (Randy) of McCook and Kendra Jefferson (Brian) of Central City; his grandchildren, Sawyer, Kiera Haag, Hunter, Delaney Stewart, Faith, Ryker Haag, Colton, Carter Haag, Zach Latimer (Bella), Garrett Latimer, Ashlynn Carpenter (Corbin), Brooklynn Latimer, Miles Dack (Kourtney), Zander, Cameron Dack, Brett and Maddy Tryon; and his great grandchildren, Maizie Latimer, Stetson and Jordan Dack. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home (305 W C St, McCook, NE 69001).
Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to the family for future designation.
