With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alvin L. Vacha of Kearney, Nebraska, who passed away on January 5, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ladislov Vacha and Alma Vacha (Sedlacek); his siblings, Laddie, Marvin, Dave, Donnie, Lori, Alice, Carol and Betty; his daughters, Shannon Vacha and Christi Galloway; his nephews, Bob Vacha, Ronnie Cover and Rick Ledbetter; his niece Patty Cover; and his grandson Joshua Cochran.

He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sister Pat Novak; his sisters-in-law, Kathi Vacha and Bev Vacha; his children, Michelle Truax (Corey), Kristi Cochran, Scott Vacha, Nathan Vacha, Mike Booher (Deniz) and Erin Carlson (Jesse); his son-in-law Ken Galloway; and his grandchildren, Tyler Truax, Ryan Truax, Colby Cochran, Jacob Vacha, Selale Booher, Kaiden Smotherman, Schyler Vacha, Elisa Vacha, Alex Lopez and Taylor Lamothes. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and great grandchildren.
