We are sad to announce that on April 13, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Betty A. Rickard of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by : her parents, George Ablutz and Bertha Ablutz (Lietzke); her husband Duane Rickard; her brother Henry Ablutz; and her grandson Steven Slater.
She is survived by : her children, Susan Slater (Bryan) of Kearney, Larry and David Rickard; her grandchildren, Melissa Orcutt (Shawn) of Kearney, Jenny McCollough (Grant) of Kearney, Angela Schlattmann (Mike) of Kearney, Arlene Mortensen (Nick) of Kearney and John Rickard of Kearney; her sister Bertha Boyer of Clear Water, FL.; and her grandchildren, Kylie, Dylan, MaShayla, Jaxtyn, Kaylee, Kaden, Addison, Aubrey, Emma, Revalie, Mavven and Cove Klingsporn. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other special friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (3315 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847).
Memorials are suggested to First Lutheran Church or AsceraCare Hospice.
