We are sad to announce that on January 9, 2026, at the age of 93, Betty L. Harrington of Kearney, Nebraska passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Swanson and Ruth Swanson (Blickenstaff); her husband Charles Harrington; her sister Arlene; her brother-in-law Ray Larson; her son-in-law Bruce Kruse; and her grandchildren, Jeff and Jessica.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Harrington of Kearney, Dan Harrington of Kearney, Sheryl Kruse of Kearney and Kevin Harrington (Christy) of Beatrice; and her grandchildren, Bob Harrington, Jenny Harrington, Jared Kruse (Marissa), Jason Kruse (Jordan), Jenae Loschen (Jared), Eric Harrington, Ryan Harrington (Ruhtana) and Lindsey Spale (Brian). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, numerous great grandchildren, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Free Church (4010 7th Ave, Kearney, NE 68845). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kearney eFree Church.
