Carol V. Theis Obituary
In loving memory of Carol V. Theis of Kearney, Nebraska, who departed this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Carol leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lambert Larchick and Velma Larchick (Trompke); her husband Donald Theis; and her daughters, Pam Kurtzhals, Ronda and Allie Theis.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Theis (Michelle) of Kearney and Michele Buschkoetter (Gerald) of Lawrence, NE; her son-in-law Stewart Kurtzhals of Kearney; her grandchildren, Nick Theis, Zack Theis (Jordan) and Ty Kurtzhals; and her siblings, Ron Larchick (Linda) of Norman, OK, Constance Dustin (Ken) of Colorado Springs, CO and Renee Behn (Willy) of Kearney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. James Catholic Church (3801 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A vigil service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
