He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harvey and Elva Pearl Cotant (Willis); his daughter Christina; his siblings, William Harold Cotant (Dee), Willis Cotant, Garry Cotant and Shirley Shears; his brother-in-law Dale Barr; and his nephew Kenley Farrell.
He is survived by: his children, Patrick McClure of York, NE, Teresa Cotant (Cheryl Wiese) of Omaha, NE, Stephanie Krahulik (Justin) of Seward, NE and Denise Hythecker (Troy) of Davenport, IA; his grandchildren, Owen, Ava, Liam, Isla Krahulik, Caleb, Leah Hythecker, Dillen and Colten McClure; the mother of his children Mary Wetherilt of Grand Island, NE; his siblings, Mick Cotant of Imperial, NE, Vonnie Barr of Wolbach, NE and Mary Jane Younkin (Don) of Mullen, NE; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Cotant, Sharyl Cotant and Vernon Shears. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Apfel Funeral Home (1123 W 2nd St, Grand Island, NE 68801). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
