Eugene Lee Marz Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 23, 2026, at the age of 70, Eugene Lee Marz of Kearney, Nebraska, born in Homestead, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Eugene is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Eugene's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fritz Marz and Ellen May Marz (Leichsenring); and his granddaughter Alexis Rae Urbanek. He is survived by: his wife Debra (Friesen); his children, Jacob (Jen Cresswell) and Corey Urbanek (Bryce); his grandchildren, Collin and Cassandra; his sister Geri Marz; and his sister-in-law Lu Zoller. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
