He was predeceased by: his parents, Noel Simpkins and Mable Simpkins (Vincent); his wife Twyla Simpkins; his sons, Gary and Timmy Simpkins; his daughter-in-law Sheri Simpkins; his sister Beverly Radcliffe; his brothers-in-law, Bruce Flack and Virgil Pinneo; and his nephew Terry Buresh.
He is survived by: his children, Gene Simpkins (Julie) of Kearney, Dale Simpkins of Oregon, Lila Simpkins of Kearney, Kathy Shearer (Mike) of Kearney and Jennifer Deboer of Kearney; and his siblings, Geraldine Flack, Marvin Simpkins and Larry Simpkins (Janet). He is also survived by great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
