He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence J. Sherman and Eva R. Sherman (Luckinbill); his former wife RoseMary Sherman; his sisters, Carol Jensen (Ed) and Clarice Beran (Robert); his daughter Michelle Sherman; and his stepgrandson Jared Rowedder.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Rowedder of Kearney; his children, Melinda Nelson (Steve) of Saint Edward and Matthew Sherman (Cindy) of Brighton, Colorado; his brother Gary Sherman (Carol) of Ceresco; his grandchildren, Clare Davidson-Sherman of Omaha, Wyatt Nelson of Columbus and Myranda Nelson of Saint Edward; his daughter-in-law Karen Davidson-Fisher (Bobbi) of Omaha; his stepchildren, Lee Rowedder (Brenda) of Kearney and Ron Rowedder (Paula) of Hastings; and his stepgrandchildren, Lexi Rowedder of Hastings, Courtney Rowedder of Saint Augustine, Carter Rowedder of Kearney, Brooke Rowedder of Kearney, Ava Rowedder of Kearney and Hudson Rowedder of Kearney. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Reynolds-Love Funeral Home (106 W 8th St, Lexington, NE 68850). A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Overton Cemetery (75221 County Rd 445, Overton, NE 68863).
