He was predeceased by: his parents, Albertus "Jack" Barnes and Myrtle "Vergene" Barnes (Mathiasen); his wife Wanda Wilcox; his daughter Robin Shanks; and his grandson Thomas Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Michele Harris (Mark) of Riverton, WY and Kristin Martin (Stu) of Ocala, FL. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF) or the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
