In the vast expanse of eternity, Hubert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Hubert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hecox and Eva Hecox (Christensen); his wife Lyla David; and his son Kyle. He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Carroll (Lorene David); and his grandchildren, Ryan David of Omaha, Michael David (Abigail) of Englewood, CO, Chandra Hawley (Jason) of Aurora, NE and Brant Hollister (Deidre) of Kearney.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services (2421 Avenue A, Kearney, NE 68847). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (4500 Linden Dr, Kearney, NE 68847).
