He was predeceased by: his parents, Almarion McLaughlin and Anna McLaughlin (Skjostad); his daughter Kelly Crow; and his sister Sidney Christopherson. He is survived by: his wife Eileen McLaughlin; his son James McLaughlin II (Brenda); his stepchildren, Theresa Saner, James Pleskac (Chenoa), Eric Stuehm (Julie) and Evan Stuehm (Richelle); his grandchildren, Jacob Delong, Joshua Delong, Katie Delong, Dr. Colin McLaughlin, William McLaughlin, Makaylee, Rilee Stuehm, Grace Stuehm, Ivory Stuehm, Aneka, Marvin Verbeck, Blake Eller, Michael Kasper, Dominic, Wyatt and Zayn Pleskac; and his great grandchildren, Athena Kerns and Atlas Hills. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
