It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean A. Castenada of Kearney, Nebraska, who passed away on December 11, 2025, at the age of 46, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Dorothy Daniels, Ellen, Lawrence Dalrymple and William Gorman; and her uncles, Richard VanderBloeman and Dennis Peters.
She is survived by: her parents, James VanderBloeman and Onna VanderBloeman (Dalrymple); her husband Antonio Castaneda; her children, Braydon VanderBloeman, Jesus Cervantes, Mauricio Castaneda, Cruz Castaneda, Nicolas Castaneda (Blair Bieber) and Danika Welch (Courtney King); and her siblings, Lori Kerrigan and James R. VanderBloeman (Kristen). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Homes and Cremations (4115 Avenue N Pl, Kearney, NE 68847).
Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
